How do the brushes work on my Dolphin robot?
The brushes play a crucial role in cleaning by effectively rubbing and lifting debris, allowing the debris to be suctioned away more efficiently.
Most robot models are equipped with an 'active' brush that rotates at a speed that is twice as fast as the robot's travel speed, which significantly improves the brushing action.
Types of Brushes Based on Dolphin Model and Pool Coating
There are three distinct types of brushes available, which vary depending on the specific model of your Dolphin and the type of coating present on your pool:
- PVC Brushes: These are recommended for all types of flooring and are the standard brushes found in the Dolphin S Line and X Lines.
- Combined Brushes (PVC + Foam Rings): These brushes are also recommended for all types of flooring and are the standard brushes in some models, including the Dolphin M400.
It is important to note that the foam climbing rings should not be removed as they assist the robot in climbing. These climbing rings should be replaced when they become worn and fall apart.
Foam Brushes (optional): These are recommended for extremely smooth and slippery surfaces, such as steel or smooth mosaic tiles.
