My Dolphin robotic pool cleaner does wheelies

Some Dolphin robot pool cleaner models lift themselves slightly off the ground to make it easier to change direction --> this is normal.

However, if the Dolphin rears up when moving in a straight line, we advise you to carry out the following checks:

  • Check that the filters are not dirty or clogged (although they may appear clean, small particles may dry on the material and clog it). It is recommended that the bag or cartridges be cleaned after each use, but deeper cleaning may be required and highly encouraged.

  • Ensure that the filter basket is properly installed, tightly fitted, with no visible gaps and the filter panels are properly clipped to the bracket.

  • Check that the impeller is clean and free of debris.

  • Ensure that the cable is not twisted or bent and that it is long enough for the Dolphin to cover the entire pool.

  • Excess Air in the System: There may be an accumulation of excess air within the robot's system. To remedy this, it is advisable to flip the robot over before placing it in the pool, allowing any trapped air to escape.

  • It is imperative to ensure that the pool chemicals are properly balanced. Maintaining the chemicals within the recommended range is essential for preserving the longevity of the robot’s components and optimal functionality.

You can find all these maintenance tips in your robot's user manual. To access them, you must indicate your Dolphin's model.
