What is inductive charging?
Inductive charging is a type of wireless power transfer. It uses electromagnetic induction to provide power to portable devices. It allows the battery to be charged without having to plug it directly into a power socket. When charging a portable device wirelessly it sits on a small, flat charging pad or dock. The charging pad still needs to be plugged into the mains electrical supply, but the Dolphin sits loosely on top of it, rather than having to be plugged directly into the mains power supply.
