I can power my Dolphin robotic pool cleaner on but it does not move

How can we get your Dolphin robot moving again?

Ensure the cable is not twisted or bent and is long enough to cover the entire pool.

First, start by testing the power supply.

  • Try soft resetting the power supply. Disconnect the black cable from the outlet and wait for approximately 30 seconds.
  • Reconnect it to the outlet and try to turn on the power supply.
  • Disconnect the blue cable from the power supply, then turn the power supply on.
  • Wait approx. 30 seconds, then reconnect the blue cable while ensuring it’s well plugged and in optimal condition.

All good? Let’s move on to the impeller.

First, unplug the power supply from the outlet. Use a Phillips screwdriver for safety. Avoid using a power drill.

If you notice debris trapped in the impeller, open it, remove it, and reassemble it. Click here for more information about how to clean your impeller.

Now, place the robot upside down, try rotating the brushes by hand, they should rotate freely in both directions with minimal resistance, if they don't then debris is probably stuck in the tracks or wheels. Is the robot making any strange noises? If it is, take a closer look:

Check the tracks and brushes in every nook and cranny for any debris, obstructions or visible damage.

  • Finally, if after performing all these checks, your robot does not move when you switch on the power supply, we advise you to contact your authorised Dolphin repairer for further diagnosis (cable, power supply and motor test).

Find all the maintenance tips (impeller cleaning) in your Dolphin user manual found here (you will need to indicate the model of your Dolphin robot).
