The cable on my Dolphin robot is twisted
First, we recommend taking your Dolphin robot out of the pool and straightening the cable completely, letting it air dry in the sun for at least 3 hours to get the kinks and twists out. Let it air dry before winding it up.
How do I correctly store the Dolphin Cable?
Make sure that the cable is wound correctly after each use. Please see the video below for guidance on correctly storing your Dolphin cable.
How do I prevent Dolphin cable tangles?
We recommend that you also check that nothing obstructs the Dolphin wheels or tracks, as this could cause the Dolphin to spin in circles and twist the cable.
To keep your cable free of tangles, we recommend making sure the water temperature is over 15C/59F and that the pool's chemicals are balanced and in the optimum recommended range:
pH: 7.0-7.8
Chlorine: Max. 4 PPM
NaCl/Salt: Max. 5,000 PPM
Most importantly, do not use too much cable! If your Dolphin has a Swivel Cable, and especially if it doesn't, it is very important to measure the right amount of cable you need.
To do that, measure the cable length to be the same as the longest length of your pool. That will be the amount of cable your robot needs to allow it to cover the pool and help avoid tangles. Ensure the power supply is centred at the longest length of the pool for better performance.
